A Magyar Szolidaritás Mozgalom aggodalommal figyeli az utóbbi időben történt rasszista és kirekesztő eseményeket. Petíciójában arra szólítja föl Magyarország miniszterelnökét, hogy minden lehetséges eszközzel tegyen azért, hogy a magyar társadalom minden tagja megérthesse: a múltból tanulnunk kell, nem megismételni azt. A Mozgalom arra kéri Magyarország állampolgárait, hogy aláírásukkal támogassák petícióját.
Miniszterelnök Úr!
A felelőtlen engedékenység, a verbális agresszió eltűrése három éve már fizikai agresszióhoz vezetett, és hat magyar állampolgár életébe került. Gyilkosaik ellen még mindig folyik a büntetőeljárás. Ez a késlekedés megakadályozza a társadalmat a tragédia feldolgozásában, a politikai közbeszédben eluralkodó gyűlöletbeszéd, a rejtett célozgatások pedig újabb bátorítást adnak további fajgyűlölő gyilkosoknak. Nagykanizsán falfeliratok tanúskodnak készülődésükről. Meggyalázták a mártírok emlékművét Budapesten, meggyalázták Raul Wallenberg szobrát.
Az Ön rendőrsége a nagykanizsai ügyben most is csak tiltott hatalmi jelkép használata után nyomoz, és nem tűnik fel neki, hogy itt személyre szóló életveszélyes fenyegetés történt.
Ma már nem csupán a magyar állampolgárok figyelik értetlenül, mennyire nem viseli Ön gondját azoknak, akikért esküvel felelősséget vállalt. Mikor akar Ön cselekedni? Amikor Magyarországból Etiópia lesz? Vagy a tuszik és hutuk példája lelkesíti?
A leghatározottabban követeljük, a gyilkosok és uszítók megbüntetését, a megfenyegetettek hatékony védelmét! Követeljük, hogy Magyarország miniszterelnöke Európa földrajzi közepén az európai normákhoz igazodva kezelje a társadalmi konfliktusokat, és hatékony fellépésével vessen véget az Európát egyszer már lángba borító fajgyűlölet hazai megtűrésének, a kettős beszédnek, a gyűlöletbeszédnek.

Appeal of the Hungarian Solidarity Movement to the Prime Minister of Hungary
Mr. Prime Minister,
The long-time tolerance of discrimination and verbal violence by the Hungarian authorities led to acts of physical violence including the murder of six innocent Hungarian citizens three years ago. The trial of the perpetrators is still in process. Its prolongation prevents our society from coming to terms with the tragedy and from reaching closure. The proliferation of hate speech and thinly veiled racist and xenophobic rhetoric in political discourse encourages racist violence and even murders. Recent graffiti defacing Roma houses in Nagykanizsa prove their recharged mobilization. The martyrs’ memorial and Raul Wallenberg’s statue in Budapest have both been vandalized.
Regarding the Nagykanizsa incident, the investigation of the case by your government’s police force is strictly limited to the offence of “illegal use of a forbidden political symbol”, absurdly ignoring the serious threat to human life that has also occurred.
Your inexplicable disregard for those whose safety and well being you took an oath to protect baffles not only the citizens of Hungary but many around the world. When are you going to address this issue? Will you wait till Hungary becomes the next Bosnia or Ethiopia? Do we have to reach the stage where ethnic conflict tears our country apart?
We demand the punishment of murderers and effective measures against those who incite hate crimes. We demand protection for the citizens being threatened. We demand that you, Mr. Prime Minister, abide by the laws and moral values of Europe as you attempt to resolve the social conflicts in our country. We expect that you take action and put an end to the escalation of racism and to the toleration of the kind of hate speech that has already led to violence in catastrophic dimensions in the past in Europe.
